Qatar Tops the List of Most Educated Arab Countries in the Middle East


Doha, Qatar: A study by American Caldwell (a higher education research firm) titled "Educational Attainment in the Arab World: A Groundbreaking Comparative Analysis," recognised Qatar as the most educated Arab country in the Middle East.

Qatar achieved the highest score of 2.65, followed closely by the United Arab Emirates with a score of 2.63. Lebanon secured the third position, attaining a score of 2.44.

The study examined 12 Arab countries, utilising data from UNESCO's World Education Statistics 2024, WIPO patent applications from 1980 to 2023, and SCOPUS academic publications from 1996 to 2023.
