Rare Total Lunar Eclipse Tonight in Qatar's Sky, Moon to Appear Red


Doha, Qatar: Qatar Calendar House (QCH) has announced an astronomical spectacle set to visible in Qatar's skies on Sunday, September 7, 2025, as the nation will witness a total lunar eclipse.

The entire sequence of the eclipse will be visible across Qatar. The partial eclipse will commence at 7:27 pm local time, with the total eclipse beginning at 8:31 pm The eclipse is expected to reach its peak at 9:12 pm, during which the Earth's shadow will envelop more than the entire lunar disk, covering 136.2%.

Moreover, QCH, in partnership with the Museum of Islamic Art, will host a public viewing event at the MIA park where visitors will have the opportunity to observe the eclipse through advanced telescopes, making it an educational and memorable experience for all everyone.
