Doha, Qatar: Brazil's Flamengo has secured a place in the final of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2025 following a 2-0 victory against Egypt's Pyramids FC in a Challenge Cup match held on Saturday at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium.
Danilo and Leo Pereira each contributed a goal for Flamengo, scoring in the 24th and 52nd minutes, respectively.
Flamengo will now face France's Paris Saint-Germain in the final on Wednesday. This achievement comes on the heels of Flamengo's recent triumph in the Copa Libertadores, marking their fourth title in the tournament's history. They advanced to the semi-finals by defeating Mexico's Cruz Azul 2-1 in the "Derby of the Americas."
